Presented at The Point, A Christmas Quest, has been specially designed for socially distanced family groups to experience in their social bubbles, has been made possible by the recent award from the Department of Culture Media and Sport and Arts Council England’s Cultural Recovery Fund.

This Christmas Santa has THE most important job in the world – even more important than making sure all the stockings get filled and the reindeers stay awake.

This Christmas Santa has THE most important job in the world – even more important than making sure all the stockings get filled and the reindeers stay awake.

The sun has gone missing and Santa needs the help of intrepid explorers (that’s you)!

Travel a magical world of gigantic presents, frozen mazes, dazzling lights and thrilling challenges into the Polar north and help Santa bring back the sun to make sure his sledge can take off into the night skies this Christmas.

Bringing together Theatre Re’s creative team; A Christmas Quest is written by Director, Actor, Magician and Mime artist Guillaume Pigé, with music by Composer Alex Judd.

This immersive journey will take your social bubble on an extraordinary expedition to the edge of the world.

A Christmas Quest, which is perfect for ages 3 plus and their grown-ups, will run in The Point Eastleigh from 12 December 2020 until 7 January 2021.

Artistic Director of The Point Sacha Lee said: “We are thrilled that we received the much needed Government Recovery funds, and we have made sure that a slice of it ensures we all have something to look forward to this Christmas.

“We have designed this experience so that you can feel completely safe and confident in our auditorium with plenty of space, as well as taking in the magic of a brand new story about Christmas; think of A Christmas Quest as a mash-up of Santa’s Grotto, a maze-like labyrinth and an escape room!

“We all need to be inspired and uplifted right now, so please come and join us for this very special experience which is not to be had anywhere else.”

Eastleigh Borough Council Cabinet Member for Social Policy Councillor Tina Campbell said: “It’s great news that The Point and The Berry Theatre are able to put on this family show and bring some fun to the festive season in Eastleigh Borough.

“It has been made possible by the team’s successful bid for an award from the Cultural Recovery Fund and we’re extremely grateful for this support, which is helping us continue to programme live theatre. I’m sure that families across the Borough will enjoy an excellent show that will give us something to look forward to in these difficult times.”
