Who's Who
Our team of staff work across our two theatres and festivals. Whilst we are based at our sister venue The Point, Eastleigh we're often making the seven mile trip across the Borough to The Berry Theatre!
Our team
Louisa Milburn
Business Manager
Louisa has been at The Point and The Berry Theatre since 2017, although she says it’s flown by and only feels like a few months. Louisa studied music and quickly moved into Arts Management and completed the Clore Leadership programme in 2005. She then relocated to Hampshire from Leicester where she was Director of Attenborough Arts, a fully-inclusive arts centre based at the University of Leicester.
Outside of work Louisa is kept busy with family walks to the pub and losing the battle with weeds in the garden...
Liz Wolton
Programmer Theatre and Festivals
Liz has been working at The Point for just over 15, originally part-time to fit in with her four year old daughter. Back then there was just the main theatre space and a dance studio and our atrium was a car park. Liz was instrumental in the launch of The Berry Theatre in 2011 and now supports all the programming across both venues.
Outside of work Liz can usually be found with her nose in a good book, watching a movie or going to the theatre. Good food is a passion so she loves eating out. Best left alone until she’s had her first morning cuppa.
Janice Munday
Front of House Manager
Janice has been at The Point for over 20 years. She started as a paid usher and then moved to Box Office and Marketing. She is now Front of House Manager for both venues, overseeing the box office and front of house teams. She’s a whizz with technical systems!
Outside of work Janice loves spending time with her family and heading to the hills in the Lakes or Peak District. We like it when she brings back biscuits, rock and cake.
Lorraine Hendley
Sales Officer
Lorraine has been working at The Point since May 2000. With a background working in care, it’s easy to see why Lorraine is in our Front of House team, meeting and greeting and looking after all our audience members and visitors.
She thoroughly enjoys the range of work The Front of House team undertakes to keep everything running smoothly.
Outside of work, Lorraine loves a good weekend away and catching up with friends. She’s also the most well accessorised person we know, adding a touch of bling to our box office.
Molly Groves
Sales Officer
Musical theatre graduate Molly joined The Point team in November 2019 and works in the box office serving customers, dealing with enquiries and selling tickets for shows and classes. She really enjoys the daily interaction with customers and the public as well as being able to assist and work alongside the rest of the team. When she’s not working she loves dancing, seeing friends, going to the gym and cooking.
Ellie Russell
Marketing Manager – Theatres
Ellie’s been working at The Point and The Berry Theatre since 2010, starting initially to work on the launch of The Berry Theatre before joining the wider team to work across both theatres.
With over 16 years’ experience working in marketing, Ellie has a particular interest in audience development and working with artists.
Outside of work she can usually be found cuddling other people’s dogs (with permission), drinking good coffee, mountain biking, or dreaming of being in the mountains...
Joanne Stamp
Marketing Officer - Theatres
Joanne came to work at The Point in 2019 after several years as a council Communications Officer elsewhere in Hampshire. She started her career in local journalism and spent more than a decade as the arts editor of a newspaper. Joanne has always been passionate about community and the arts so she’s delighted be a part of the team.
Outside of work, she’s busy with family life but dreams of five minutes’ peace to indulge her passions including film. reading, crafting and cooking.
James Hibberd
Marketing Officer - Theatres
James joined the team in 2016, having previously worked as a Press & PR intern for Eastleigh Borough Council for 18 months. He graduated with a BA Multimedia Journalism from Bournemouth University in 2014 and has also worked as a freelance video editor before moving into his first marketing role at the theatres.
He is probably (definitely) the office’s biggest football fan and outside of running the World Cup sweepstakes every four years, he tries to go to as many Saints matches, indie/rock gigs and Mexican restaurants as he possibly can.
Jenny Grigg
Marketing Officer - Theatres
Jenny has been working at The Point since 2012. Following a degree in Dance, she worked for a number of London based dance companies, before relocating to Hampshire where she joined our marketing team. Jenny enjoys connecting with audiences and bringing them into our venues to experience the magic of live performance. Outside of work Jenny loves singing along to country music and long walks along the beach with her family and an ice cream in hand.
Caz Creagh
Creative Learning & Participation Manager
Caz joined the team in January 2020. Her favourite things about the role include connecting with the communities around Eastleigh, developing arts activities that enhance people’s lives and supporting young people to reach their creative goals.
Caz has previously run youth and community programmes for Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, G Live in Guildford, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Norden Farm Centre for the Arts and Theatre Royal Winchester.
Outside of work Caz can be found gardening with her children and chickens, sewing, or playing the violin around a campfire.
Emma Christie
Creative Producer, Education
Emma joined the Creative Learning Team in April 2018. With over nine years’ experience of working with young people in arts education in theatres across the South, her mission is to connect schools, colleges and higher education facilities with inspiring arts experiences and professionals.
Outside of work Emma loves nothing more than muddying her boots exploring National Trust sites before chilling out with some yoga.
Molly Foulkes
Creative Producer (Young People)
Molly graduated from the Ruskin School of Art at Oxford University in 2019 where she became particularly interested in exploring socially engaged practices as part of her Fine Art degree. She has experience working with a range of vulnerable children and young people and is passionate about developing the youth programme to empower young creatives.
Outside of work Molly enjoys working on her own art, being near the sea and training at karate.
Gina Thorley
Creative Producer (Projects)
Gina joined the team in late 2019 to work with the Creative Learning and Participation department producing events and activities for the local community. She previously worked as a fundraiser at nearby Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST).
Outside of work, she creates theatre with her company Mudlarks Theatre, writing plays and trying too hard to make people laugh. She can also be found swimming, playing the ukulele and eating too much hummus.
Vicki Hargreaves
Artist Development Producer (maternity leave)
Vicki has worked for The Point for 11 years in different roles, moving into the role of Artist Development Producer in December.
With a portfolio career as a producer, choreographer, manager and dance artist, Vicki’s role gives her the exciting opportunity to support local artists and help support the development of the arts ecology within Eastleigh and Hampshire.
Outside of work Vicki loves nothing more than spending time with her family, travelling the world as much as possible and loves a coffee date with her husband or friends.
KJ Mortimer
Artist Development Producer (maternity cover)
KJ has been working at The Point as our Agent for Dance Excellence, developing relationships across the dance sector. She created and delivers our highly regarded GradLab programme for Dance Graduates and leads our over 50's Retrospectif Dance Company. KJ began her training at The University of Chichester, and an MA in Dance Performance at Trinity Laban as part of Transitions Dance Company. She has danced for several high profile dance companies including Akram Khan, StopGap Dance and Lîla Dance. KJ is also an associate lecturer at the University of Chichester teaching technique. Outside of work she loves to spend time with her family and friends and is a boundless source of enthusiasm with an infectiously happy outlook!
Jenna Cox
Fundraising Manager
Jenna has been working at The Point since April 2020. She studied Arts, Music and Entertainment Management at The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts then continued with a career as Entertainments Manager programming commercial events for The University of Southampton. Jenna’s role is to deliver financial support to the theatres programming. Outside of work Jenna likes to watch gritty boxsets and unwind with a glass of wine (once the children are in bed of course!)
Jen Marshall
Venues Manager
Jen joined us in January 2020.
She began her theatre career in Bristol working as a stage manager and technician at Tobacco Factory Theatres and the Bristol Old Vic, as well as freelancing for five years.
A move to the South Coast found Jen in the Operations department at the new NST City theatre and then on to Southampton’s Hub Theatre which she ran before joining the Point.
When not at work, Jen can be found taking her retired racing greyhound Artie round on country walks or training for her next triathlon!
Tim Slater
Technical Manager
Tim arrived at The Point in 2010, with a performance background and fresh from a Master’s degree in Theatre Studies. He started as a Technician and worked his way up to Technical Manager where he now runs the backstage technologies team. He’s seen many changes in his time and enjoys working with new artists and suggesting ways to develop their work with technology. Outside of work, Tim loves singing and performing with his band who’ve been together since college. He is passionate about being outdoors and is a keen snowboarder, climber and mountain biker.
Ashton Partridge
Theatre Technician Supervisor
Ashton has worked at The Point for eight years ensuring a high quality of service is delivered by the technical department on a day-to-day basis. When he is not hard at work, Ash enjoys going climbing and heading out into the wilds hiking.
Shaun Hobbs
Theatre Technician
Shaun has been working for The Point and The Berry Theatre for nine years, having been a tech professionally since leaving school – and he can’t believe it has been that long!
Shaun and the team facilitate the technical needs of visiting productions and provide design expertise when needed. When not at work, Shaun is a fan of a trip to the pub, learning to play the guitar and rock climbing (but not all at the same time!).
