Welcome to The Storytelling Festival – a fortnight of performances, workshops and activities for audiences and writers, celebrating the first year of our Write Now programme through the joy of storytelling.
We will be dusting off classics from the children’s literature shelf, with a selection of stories brought to life for stage and cinema, including a new production of There and Back Again – An Odyssey and a screening of Wes Anderson’s visionary adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved Fantastic Mr. Fox. Our very own Youth Theatre also make a splash with their production of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic The Little Mermaid and we have a festival special Saturday Storytime.
There is something for everyone, so join the celebrations – you may even find you have your own tale to tell…
